Daily diet soda tied to higher risk for stroke, heart attack

You’ve weaned yourself off those high sugar sodas to low-cal or no cal options. You’re cutting calories and losing weight. It feels good.

But wait.

A new study has just been released that shows people drink diet soda every day have a 61% higher risk of vascular events – such as strokes and heart attacks.

Researchers presented the material at the American Stroke Association’s International Stroke Conference in Los Angeles.

I guess we should just stick with water.
