In April, CroisiEurope will unveil the newest member of its Rhine fleet, the MS Lafayette. This extraordinary ship will feature an impressive transformation of the living spaces including spacious cabins, floor-to-ceiling picture windows and a fresh, modern interior. A four-star premium ship, it will feature a new and original route that will travels on the Rhine through some of the most beautiful areas of Holland, Germany and Switzerland including optional excursions to the Mainau Island, Mainz, the Black Forest and the Titisee and more.

The MS Lafayette will be christened with Mary Rose N. Reade, the wife of the U.S. Consul General in Strasbourg Evan G. Reade, as godmother of the ship.

CroisiEurope’s newest vessel is named after General Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette, the French military hero whose unwavering support of the American Army during the Revolutionary War ensured American liberty and solidified a historic bond between these two great nations. As godmother of the MS Lafayette, Mrs. Reade’s American heritage embodies the French-American bond created by Lafayette himself.

By decreasing the overall number of cabins, the MS Lafayette will feature larger, more spacious cabins on board. Each cabin will be roughly 161 square feet with remarkable floor-to-ceiling picture windows providing sweeping, panoramic views of the passing landscapes. The ship, at 295 feet long, can accommodate up to 84 passengers in 42 rooms and features a sumptuous dining room, lounge and deck decorated in an inviting, modern style. Cabins will come equipped with a wide-screen TV, safe, hair dryer, mini bar, individual air-conditioning and heating controls and more.
