Christie’s Fine and Rare Wines auction has a new home – for this year.
To give clients easy access to the sale, Christie’s has moved its annual early-summer Fine and Rare Wines auction—this year on June 6—from the company’s Rockefeller Plaza headquarters to the Atwater Estate in Beach. The sale’s star lot is an extremely rare Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage from 1929, which is estimated to fetch between $6,000 and $10,000. The wine is being offered to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the first Academy Awards ceremony. The proceeds from that lot will benefit the Motion Picture and Television Fund. – From Robb Report
