Christian Louboutin brings the stars to the feet with the latest Zodiac Collection of limited edition shoes, exclusively designed for Moda Operandi. The Parisian label has unveiled only 45 pairs of starry shoes to commemorate the e-tailer’s fifth anniversary. The celebratory footwear also mark the debut of the sale of Louboutin goods on Moda Operandi.
Inspired by Louboutin’s personal interest in horoscopes and astrology, the shoes are offered in three shades of satin: wine, black, and midnight blue, ornamented with zodiac symbols woven in gold and silver thread. The smooth satin body, embroidered with zodiac symbol and constellation stands on Christian Louboutin’s signature red sole. Crafted entirely by hand in Mr. Louboutin’s Parisian atelier, each pair can be personalized with initials and birthdates to up the uniqueness of the shoes.
The collection includes two celestial-inspired shoes. While the heavily embellished mule sells for $2,200, the pointed flat ballerina sports a $2,000 tag.
