Celebrate the 2019 Breeders’ Cup World Championships

The 2019 Breeders’ Cup World Championships is one of the world’s most prestigious horse racing events, and is one of the best social events of the year. The first run was in 1984, and was a single day event. It expanded into a two day event in 2007, and is considered one of the most notable events of the season.

The 36th running of the Breeders’ Cup will return to the iconic Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California for a record-breaking 10th time on November 1 and 2, 2019.

The posh event combines fine dining, trackside fashion, celebrity sightings and world-class entertainment for the  biggest horse racing event of the year. The World Championships consists of 14 races (13 Grade I events) with purses and awards totaling more than $30 million.

The Breeders’ Cup Trophy is an authentic bronze reproduction of the original Torrie horse that was created in Florence by Giovanni da Bologna in the late 1580s.

In partnership with The 21 Club in New York City, this year also introduces two new, official Breeders’ Cup Cocktails created by the restaurant’s acclaimed mixologist, Mark Tubridy.
