Next to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, the iconic Mayflower Hotel is the capital city’s most politically charged address. Host to inaugural balls, presidents, and heads of state from Coolidge and Roosevelt to Churchill and Obama, the newly renovated Mayflower Hotel is the longtime nominee for the place to stay during the excitement of an election year.
And now, guests can take part of the action long before Election Day. A new campaign called “The Mayflower Vote” lets guests choose from a red or blue key card depending on their party choice. During the campaign, results from this straw poll will be shared using #TheMayflowerVote on social media.
The hotel also has a slew of other fun election themed events going on, including a politically-themed presidential lending library on the mezzanine level for browsing.
You can also enjoy the renovated Presidential Suite with the “Presidential Privilege” package, an inside track to VIP politico status that includes two nights in the newly renovated Presidential or Mayflower suites and a personal paparazzi to photograph you at the city’s most iconic locations, including the U.S. Capitol. The package, priced from $5,000, also includes a personal “secret service” style butler and a power day in D.C., complete with a special behind-the-scenes tour of the U.S. Capitol with a former Congressman, a private monuments at night tour, dinner at a top D.C. restaurant, along with sedan transportation for the evening.
