Best places to take a vacation on the East Coast

If you are looking for a land that can cover almost any sort of vacation you can think of, that is the East Coast. From Maine to Florida, and from Boston and New York to virtually thousands of beaches, shores and islands, you can see so many incredible places along the Atlantic Ocean.

The East Coast is packed with natural wonders, history, culture, delicious food, nightlife, big cities, amazing views, and so on.

And while the West Coast has only 3 states on the shores of the Pacific Ocean (4, if you count Alaska), the East Coast has 14, stretched along 2.370 miles. That is a long way to go!

If all this sounds like the future vacation, or at least a short break, here are six of the best places to visit on the East Coast, and also a bonus:

New York

What more can be said about the city that is not only the main destination on the East Coast, but also one of the world’s landmarks? It is on the top of many people’s wish lists, and for a good reason too.

There are thousands of places to see and things to do, and every time you visit it you will find something new. Actually, everyone should visit it at least once. Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, museums, Broadway shows are just some of the places to see. And Empire State Building and Brooklyn Bridge too. Add to this the amazing opportunities for shopping and dining.

Bar Harbor, Maine

Families enjoy staying in Bar Harbor while visiting the Acadia National Park. It is a nice town with around 5,000 residents on the shores of the Gulf of Maine. The place is near the Canadian border, and you can enjoy some spectacular views, together with the restaurants and shops in its downtown. It is the perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts, with lakes and mountains alike. And you can hike and bike around.

Roanoke, Virginia

This town is right in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This means you will get to spend a vacation in nature, and witness the serenity of the surroundings. One of the best moments to visit it is around the end of October, to see the show of the falling leaves. And is not only up to the mountains to entertain you, but there is plenty to do and see in downtown.

Mohegan Reservation

If you want to combine history and nightlife, then the Mohegan Indian Reservation is the right choice. Located on the Thames River in Uncasville, Connecticut, here are places like Casino of the Sky and Mohegan Sun. And Unibet in partnership with Mohegan Sun is providing an online solution for the casino games.

Miami, Florida

If you think it is time for a sunny vacation, in a vibrant, unique, and stylish city, then head to Miami. You will find not only the Miami Beach, but also excellent restaurants, an incredible nightlife, and the splendor of the Art Deco buildings. The Eastern heart of Florida may be more than beats the eye.

Boston, Massachusetts

One of the most European cities in the United States, Boston has cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and a beautiful harbor, along with college life and the beaches around. While you are downtown, mind the little cafes, shops and historic red-brick houses.

Bonus: Myrtle Beach

For a true family beach destination, head to South Carolina, where you will find Myrtle Beach. Here, you will find neon lights, constant musical entertainment, and a giant spinning Ferris wheel. You can enjoy both the sand, the ocean, and the boardwalk. The Grand Strand offers miles and miles of beach for the visitors.
