The iPhone rumour mill is going into overdrive ahead of the speculated September 10 event launch. The latest, greatest rumor is that Apple will be releasing a gold version of iPhone. A gold option is one of the most requested color treatments for the iPhone, especially in the Asian market, where Apple is looking to increase their brand reach. The new gold tone will reportedly cover the back plate and sides of the phone, while the face will be white.
Analysts are predicting two new phones to be released in September. The iPhone 5C will be less expensive, offering fewer features (no Siri?), but new color options due to a plastic casing. The iPhone 5S would include the new gold phone, as well as a fingerprint scanner.
