For 13 years Coca-Cola has sat on top of the world. No more. Apple has taken the throne from the soda giant, emerging as the most valuable brand in the world. The annual study, conducted by Interbrand, saw Apple’s brand grow in value by 28% last year to $98.3 billion.

Regarding Apple, Interbrand states: “Apple’s meteoric rise in brand value can be attributed to the way it has created a seamless omnichannel experience for customers. By keeping consumers at the center of everything it does, Apple is able to anticipate what they want next and break new ground in terms of both design and performance.”

On the heals of Apple is search giant Google, valued at $93.3 billion. Coca-Cola, who have been at the top of the brand survey since it began 13 years ago, fell to third with a value of $79.2 billion.

The top listings are dominated by technology and automakers.
