American chef, author, and television personality Anthony Bourdain might have found a home for his Bourdain Market in New York. The 100,000 square feet international food market is rumored to be coming to the Pier 57 megadevelopment in the Meatpacking District.

Google is also expanding into the Hudson River “SuperPier” project, which is being redeveloped into a retail, office and park space.

Bourdain Market will include an international farmers market, an oyster and tapas bar, a butchery, a rooftop beer garden, and a bakery. The market will also feature over 50 street food vendors from around the world, cooking authentic cuisine from countries as eclectic as Bolivia and Singapore.

“We are not interested in the usual suspects. We want you to be able to enjoy expertly sliced Iberico ham and some Cava or Kuching-style laksa [soup], Chinese lamb noodles, Vietnamese pho or a decent barbecue brisket all in one place—and, most importantly, made by the very best people in each specialized area,” Bourdain told Departures.

Sounds delicious! Bourdain Market is scheduled to open in 2016.
