We’ve seen many awesome hotel suites in our day, and this new bi-level, 11,000 square foot penthouse at The London West Hollywood is definitely one of our new favorites.

Dubbed The Penthouse Inspired by Vivienne Westwood, this suite is the first-ever collaboration the fashion designer has done with a hotel.

Launching Monday, the new suite will become LA’s largest- a rare superlative in a town known for its superior suites and hotels.

Interior highlights include a massive Grand Salon – a striking, open entertaining space boasting polished stone floors, large corner sofas, bespoke cabinetry and rich furniture, accented by Vivienne Westwood cushions and upholstery, the focal point of which is a massive rug in Westwood’s own iconic squiggle pattern.

The hand- spun & hand- knotted Tibetan wool rug was especially designed and created for the room in a pale and teal blue color scheme first seen in Westwood’s seminal 1981 Pirate Collection.

Equally impressive are the two Atriums, with their oversized skylights. One even features a water feature that trickles into the raised pool below.

The suite offers two bedrooms, each with Westwood-designed accents and amenities like deep soaking free-standing tubs.

Additional features include a media room, living areas, full-sized kitchen and dining room.

But the highlight is the 5,000-square-foot rooftop terrace, which is accessible via in-suite elevator or a private staircase. The terrace, which can hold 300 guests, offers panoramic views of the city, and is perfectly set up for entertaining with large daybeds and sofas upholstered with custom Vivienne Westwood white and deep blue squiggle print exclusive fabrics. Furnishings are set in small groups (we like the one around fire pit best), making the large space feel inviting, not grandiose.

There is also an outdoor kitchen with a stone island unit perfect for barbecues, s’mores and more.

Of course, when you’re booking such a massive space, you expect perks. Guests will get special experiences with the designer, such as including one hour of private shopping at the Vivienne Westwood store in West Hollywood and a special discount on all purchases; His and Her gift bags from Vivienne Westwood upon check-in; and Vivienne Westwood-branded amenities within the suite.

The suite is priced at a cool $25k per night, which seems almost reasonable, given the size and scope of the area.

Want something a bit more affordable? The hotel is also launching three new $2,500-a-night  Metropolitan guest suites, which will range between 1,600-2,200 square feet. The launch of these rooms marks the end of the hotel’s more than $25 million renovation.
