Thanks to record visitor figures, the annual fashion exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, focusing on Alexander McQueen’s ‘Savage Beauty,’ has been prolonged and will now close on August 7.

In addition, the Met will run “Met Mondays with McQueen” from June 6, where — for the price of $50 per person — fans of the designer will be able to visit the display between 9:30am and 2:30pm while the rest of the museum is closed.

The opening day on May 4 set a new attendance record at the museuem, and overall, ‘Savage Beauty’ has been its second biggest draw after Vincent van Gogh: The Drawings in 2005, with more than 150,000 visitors so far.
