The Houston Museum of Natural Science will open a stunning new $85 million, 30,000-square-foot dinosaur hall, featuring 750 fossils and 60 large mounts. It will be one of the largest exhibit halls of its type in the country. Housed in the Duncan Family Wing, the hall will open to the public on June 2.

The Houston hall covers 3.5 billion years of life, stretching from the Paleozoic era to the Pleistocene epoch. The fossils on display are were mostly discovered by the museum’s staff or by staff from the Black Hills Institute in South Dakota.

The exhibit will be one of the finest collection of fossils in the country. In addition to fossils, there original sculptures, paintings and murals.
