Brooklyn’s real-estate market boasts of a new record with the sale of a Cobble Hill townhouse for $15.5 million. Though the identity of the buyer is under wraps, the deal has surfaced to set the record for the most expensive home ever sold in Brooklyn.most_expensive_sold_brooklyn_1Located at 177 Pacific St., the four-story, six-bedroom carriage house is loaded with luxurious amenities that are found in high-profile Manhattan skyscrapers. Spanning 10,000-square-foot, the 27-foot-wide property features everything first-class from a 20-seat movie theater to a gym along with a children’s play room, a wine cellar, a 2,600-square-foot roof garden, an elevator and four parking spots. The latest luxe residence in the white hot brownstone Brooklyn market even comes with radiant heating, herringbone floors and four working fireplaces.most_expensive_sold_brooklyn_2Listing broker Alex Maroni of Douglas Elliman described the sale as a testament to the strength of the luxury market in Brooklyn. He also added that the due to its location and size, it is an extremely unique property. To highlight its desirability, he also quoted in comparison that “If this townhouse had been in Manhattan, it would probably have gone for closer to $40 million. It’s very hard to find a property of this size and scale in prime Brooklyn.”

However Manhattan reigns as the most sought after address to reside in the city as we have already read about the One57 penthouse that sold for $100 million to become the most expensive apartment in New York City.
