Zinc for the common cold

Wondering if all those zinc labeled lozenges you see at the store really work? A new study says ‘Yes’.

Cochrane Reviews has compiled data from 13 studies. They found that taking zinc supplements with 24 hours of developing a cold can knock a day or two off the length of the cold.

The review wasn’t conclusive on the amount needed, as the studies reviewed had varying doses.
