British artist Tony Cragg recently unveiled a new sculpture at FIAC 2011 in Paris. His organic figures are composed by using dice – hundreds and hundreds of dice. These dice-covered shapes undulate creating a fascinating effect at a closer look.Throughout his long career as a visual artist, Tony Cragg has worked with a wide range of materials – from found materials in his early works to plastic, wood, bronze and marble. This artist proves how British sculpture in the 21st century can find new ways of playing with shapes and materials, shadows and lights.
