Venice-Inspired Coffee table from Claudio Bellini and Riva 1920

A living space is not complete without a supporting system to accompany your daily coffee. But not any table would do – it has to complement the surrounding interior design and  maybe even offer a strong focal point. There are so many designs out there, that it is rather difficult to find the best solution for your personal social space. This is why the Venice Table explores different materials and inspiration in a successful effort to adorn modern living spaces with style.

Designed by Claudio Bellini for Riva 1920, this coffee/console table features beautiful bricolle wood that used to be immersed in water, allowing all imperfections to become part of the design. Combining wooden pillars and steel, the designer created a stunning furniture piece inspired by the water-flooded streets of Venice. Rising above the mirroring steel, the wood was cut at different lengths, enhancing the charm and elegance of a natural-looking table.
