Millionaire Safe dipped in gold steals the spotlight

After seeing amazing creations from Boca do Lobo – like the Pixel Cabinet or Heritage Sideboard, time has come for the luxurious Millionaire safe box to steal the spotlight. The limited edition safe was created to display an exterior shell dipped in gold, although it is primarily made of mahogany and covered in brass. Indentations show how people can fall hostage to the promise of wealth and try to break the exterior shell to get to the promised valuable goods inside.

The  Millionaire Safe originated in the beginning of the 19th century and tells the story of a period of increased robberies following the 1849 California Gold Rush. “Forty-niner” gold seekers attempted several times to break open the safe, but its sturdy shell – although deformed – has protected the interior split between an open space and lockable drawers. Now, the magnificent  Millionaire Safe from Boca do Lobo is priced at almost $32,000(23 700 €).
