Here’s the first look at the Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG for 2014. The images of the CLA45 leaked ahead of it’s Big Apple debut at the New York Auto Show. All-wheel drive, super-strong turbo four and AMG style/luxury? It’s a great combination.
Under the CLA45 AMG’s stylish hood will sit a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 360 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, as is the case with the A45 AMG, and it will be paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. A sophisticated three-stage stability control system will help keep the power on the ground, which is good, since we’re expecting a 0-60 run of around 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 155 miles per hour.
Appearing as the sedan version of the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG, the CLA 45 AMG takes these similarities further to the interior, sports bucket seats, a sports steering wheel and AMG-embossed gear selector, turbine-inspired air-vents and a carbon-fiber dash finish.
As for the pricing, the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is priced at $74,900; expect the new Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG to go a little higher than that amount.
