Yesterday, “The Bachelorette” Kaitlyn Bristowe accepted Shawn Booth’s proposal with the aid of a 3.5-carat, brilliant diamond stunner surrounded by 160 smaller diamonds made by celebrity jeweler Neil Lane.

“Shawn was very self-assured and there was no doubt in his mind about what he was about to do,” Lane told People magazine. “He was not nervous at all and was like, ‘That’s the ring, that’s the girl and we are moving on together.’ He was certain he was the guy.”

The ring is the most expensive in the show’s history, although not the largest – Chris Soules, last season’s bachelor, used a 3.6 carat ring, and Desiree Hartsock had a 4-carat cushion-cut.

What do you think of the gorgeous gem? Weigh in if you think the ring (and the relationship) will stand the test of time in the comments below.
