J.K. Rowling Building $200,000 Tree Houses

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is planning to build $200,000 tree houses for her three children, Mackenzie, David and Jessica. Her husband, Dr. Neil Murray, has applied for permission to construct two 40-foot tree houses in the garden of the couple’s 17th century Edinburgh mansion in Scotland. According to the plans that were submitted to the City of Edinburgh Council, the tree houses are to be designed by Blue Forest, a company specializing in bespoke luxury tree houses. The magically brilliant tree houses are certainly Hogwarts-inspired, featuring turrets, a rope bridge and a “secret tunnel” to a trampoline deck and a trap door. This makes J.K. Rowling officially the best mom ever.
