Although most of our work can be done online faster and with more precision, a writing desk enhances the experience of writing, signing, reading, and any other adjacent action. And if we hardly write letters anymore, when we do want to practice our handwriting, we should do it with style. This is the exact idea conveyed by this elegant piece of furniture named the Cavour Writing Desk.

Designed back in in 1949 by Italian architect and designer Carlo Mollino and manufactured today by Italian company Zanotta, the modern writing desk comes in two versions – natural or wengé-stained oak frame, also showcasing natural or wengé-stained oak drawers and side compartment. Topped off with a 12 mm thick plate glass top, this sublime desk appears to be floating. Glossy black lacquered elements sharpen the idea of luxury and promote the merger of different materials. Although it was designed over 60 years ago, its elegant shape remains timeless and is prepared to offer an inspiring collection of moments by its side.
