Dreaming of warm sunny days of summer can easily include the image of an astounding residence locate in La Riviera Nayarit – Punta Mita, Mexico. Casa La Punta was imagined by Elías Rizo Arquitectos as a home to the inhabitant’s liking. Avoiding the stereotypical architecture of the region, the architects designed a house perfectly suited for the couple inhabiting it. Both inhabitants were part of the project – her influence is clearly seen in the furniture choices and interior design, while his contribution goes through the lens of technical creativity.
Three modules shape the floor plan – the main module houses public and private spaces, the second module shelters service areas and a workshop, while the third module acts as an open terrace connected by the breeze to the open sea. Volcanic rock lies at the base as decorative outdoor element, beautifully seen from the upstairs master suite and two guest bedrooms. With a partly outdoor master bedroom, this architectural wonder combines polished concrete, Parota wood, stainless steel elements and natural stones in an unforgettable design.
