New Claire and Marc Bourgie Pavilion of Quebec and Canadian Art and Bourgie Concert Hall has opened on October 14, 2011. With plenty of space for exhibitions, the pavilion occupies 59,000 square feet, increasing the exhibition space by 20%. Providing generous informations about Canada’s culture, the exhibit space will allow thousands of resident visitors, tourists, school groups and families to draw inspiration from its magnificent architecture.

Including the transformation of the 1894  Erskine and American church into a fabulous 444-seat concert hall, the additions and renovations were designed and built by Claude Provencher and Matthieu Geoffrion of Canadian architecture and urban design company Provencher Roy + Associés Architects. The collective efforts of  450 professionals and craftsmen working on this multi-level addition and the renovations of iconic buildings beautify the city. A mixture of old and new clearly seen at dusk, when all the lights from the inside visually unify the two distinct architecture styles into a fascinating duet.
