Telegenic ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews recently met up with with Vanity Fair’s irreverent interrogator George Wayne to talk sports, scandal, and her foxtrot to the finals of Dancing with the Stars. Here are the outtakes from her V.F. photo shoot, which prove that even the woman’s practice shots are home runs.

George Wayne: With a name like Erin, one must assume you are an Irish lass through and through. Am I correct?
Erin Andrews: Yes, I am an Irish lass through and through.

What is your good-luck charm?
I guess that would be my family.

We’ve heard a lot about your stage daddy, who seems to be really in control of your career, but who is your mother?
My father is not in control of my career, but he is in the same industry as I am, and I look to him for advice. My mom is an art teacher and is very much into the performing arts. What can I say? She is the female in my life and has guided me on how to act and conduct myself. A lot of my strength comes from her.

You’ve got these long spindly legs. Did you have a nickname?
My dad used to call me “the human pretzel” because I was able to bend my body, and because my legs are very long.
