Ducati Diavel AMG Special Edition Inspired by Mercedes-Benz

Meet the Ducati Diavel AMG Special Edition. The flagship model of the 2012 Diavel family has been inspired by AMG, Mercedes-Benz’s high-performance racing brand. Next month, Ducati will show the new motorbike at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Based upon the Diavel Carbon, the new model features AMG’s signature wheel styling and an AMG-style sport exhaust system with engraved end-caps, the finishing touch to the hand-built matte black carbon-fibre body work. The model will be tweaked for performance, with the cam-timing for the Testastretta 11° engine set by hand and a specially-engineered 240-section rear tire included to deliver ‘mind-blowing’ performance.

As a special edition model, each motorcycle will feature a numbered plaque on the fuel-tank, as well as the AMG lettering laser-engraved into the air-duct panels. Orders for the model will open at the same time as the Frankfurt International Motor Show, which runs September 15-25 in Germany.
