It’s an interesting concept called Project Ophelia. Introduced last January at CES, Dell has made an Android-based computer on a USB stick. The device is set to ship this July, and costs only $100. It is designed to plug directly into the HDMI port of a monitor to turn any display into a PC, gaming machine or even a set-top box.

Dell says the mini computer will be able to download apps, movies and television shows from the Google Play store, and can run Android games, and stream videos and music from Hulu, Netflix, Pandora and Spotify.

To access files stored on remote PCs, servers, or other devices, the device comes equipped with Wyse PocketCloud software.

Dell is looking to tap into the market of users who do their computing mainly on the web. The primary issue is the lack of a display, which means you’ll have to have a monitor and keyboard available to do your work.
