A breathtaking modern home reaches for the sky in Cape Town’s Clifton suburb. Rising 8 stories in the air, the fascinating Nettleton 198 residence is the result of a creative collaboration between Cape Town-based studio SAOTA (Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects) and OKHA Interiors. Designed for a British couple living in Cape Town, the magnificent contemporary house is visually adapted to its surroundings – a dark powder-coated aluminum facade helps it beautifully integrate into the mountainscape.
With six bedrooms and amazing public spaces, the modern South African home displays a collection of interiors warmed by the use of walnut timber and accentuated by the elegance of black marble and glass. Overlooking the sparkling sea and Lions Head in the distance, this luxurious residence was carefully designed to access exceptional views, but also be protected from harsh sunlight with the use of screens, shutters and louvers. A spectacular open living room is seamlessly connected to the outdoors, creating a perfect connection between man and nature in a luxurious setting.
