Daily Dream Home: Bay House

Along the Long Island coastline, a highly modern residence frames exceptional views. From inside the Bay House, its owners enjoy inspiring panoramas of the surrounding natural and man-made landscape. Transparency and dynamism are the two features defining this residence’s modern architecture. Architecture studio Roger Ferris and Partners have designed not only a home seamlessly connecting the exterior to the interior, but also a comfortable platform from where inhabitants watch seasons go by.

Its location in Sag Harbor, New York, guided design lines seen in the shape, size and choice of building materials. Boasting sustainable features like geothermal design, natural daylight harness, solar shading strategies or xeriscape landscaping, the coast house spreads over 595 square meters. The floor plan consists of a spacious living space, a modern family room, inviting dining room, kitchen, an office and five bedrooms. Two volumes contain the public and private spaces opening towards the spectacular views, arranged to benefit from the location’s best features. And when you add a pool to this mix, the house becomes a dream home.
