Culinary Professionals Awards Announced

Winners of the annual International Association of Culinary Professionals Awards which honors the best in English-language cookbooks, new media and food journalism across 50 categories will be announced April 2 in New York.

With 3,000 members from 32 countries, the IACP has been hosting the awards for 26 years.

In response to the undeniable influence of food TV, blogs and webisodes in the culinary world, organizers have added a category recognizing the best in New Media & Broadcast Awards this year, led by Jacques Pépin and Chinese chef Ming Tsai.

Winners will be announced ahead of the upcoming James Beard Foundation Awards which will be held May 4 and recognizes the best in cookbooks and food journalism out of the US.
