Created by Copenhagen-based designer Cecilie Manz for Danish brand Lightyears, the Mingus aluminum lampshades put design under a new light. Their simple and sleek figure create a sense of style in any room they help decorate. Displaying softly angled edges that propose a minimalist design, the pendant lights are as simple in design as they are from a technological point of view.

Featuring low-energy light bulbs, the pendant lamps come in two sizes and in 6 shades of light matte colors. Hanging from either a a white or grey textile cord, the lamps bring modern design under a name that jazz enthusiasts recognize – the lampshades were named after American jazz musician and composer Charles Mingus. They’re the perfect addition to a modern home where their sleek shape can be properly appreciated.
