If there’s a list of best places to live, work, or retire that Sammamish, Washington hasn’t been on, it’s surprising. Not only has it been named one of the friendliest places to live in the U.S., it was also recently named one of Money Magazine’s best places to live.  What makes Sammamish so awesome seems to be a unique mixture of great schools, abundant tech jobs (Microsoft has campuses in two nearby cities, Redmond and Issaquah), and abundant green space.  It’s also about a half hour’s drive (without traffic) from Seattle.

The city is growing at a rapid rate.  In fact, Sammamish recently held a town hall on growth that attracted comments from residents who are committed to making sure this area doesn’t lose its magic.  It’s no wonder then that land is at a premium, especially land with a view.  This lot on Pine Lake, one of the several large lakes in the town, is composed of over 2.33 acres, 140 of no-bank lake frontage, gentle topography, and southwestern exposure.

Pine Lake has a popular park with a swimming beach, boat launch, fishing pier, and play areas.  The area has seen several new developments spring up in recent years.

Suitable either for a trophy estate or a multi-unit project, this property is listed for $2.5 million with Windermere Real Estate and is showcased by LuxuryPortfolio.
